The Esports Conclave 2025 marked a watershed moment for India’s Esports industry, laying the foundation for a new era of national policy, industry synergy, and global ambition.
Hosted by the Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI)—a National Sports Promotion Organization (NSPO) recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India—in collaboration with KRAFTON India, Invest India, and NODWIN Gaming, the landmark event convened in New Delhi on April 1st.
It brought together key policymakers, industry pioneers, and stakeholders, all united by a shared vision: to shape the future of Esports in India.
A pivotal outcome of the conclave was the collective commitment to draft and submit formal Esports policy recommendations to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. This milestone initiative signals the beginning of a structured roadmap to integrate Esports into India’s broader sports and youth development policies, setting the stage for its formal recognition and growth.
Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Hon’ble Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, graced the event as Chief Guest, highlighting Esports’ role in digital literacy, job creation, and mainstream sports recognition.
The Conclave also welcomed a distinguished lineup of speakers and dignitaries, including Shri Bangararaju V.V.K.K. Thatavarthi (Director, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports), Amulya Sah (SVP, Invest India), Anandeshwar Panday (General Secretary, UP Olympic Association), Shreya Singhal, IAS (Additional Director of Education, Delhi), Akshat Rathee (MD & Co-Founder, NODWIN Gaming), and other key figures.
The Esports Conclave 2025 reinforced India’s commitment to establishing Esports as a mainstream discipline. With government-industry collaboration and policy reforms on the horizon, India is poised to become a global Esports leader.
